So I've struggled with my weight pretty much my entire life. I've yo-yo'd from 315 to 183 a few times in the 35 years I've been on this spinning globe we call a world.

The one thing that worked for me that helped me lose all the weight and keep it off was getting rid of sugar, alcohol, and bread. High meat, animal-based fats, cheese, heavy dairy with little lactose, sea salt, light veggies, and fruit instead of candy or ice cream every once in a blue moon. Lots of water and coffee too!

What happens is your body switches into ketogenesis, and now your fat reserves become fuel, so that you will lose about 9 pounds a month, and your body will return to its natural state, with around 10% body fat. Another bonus of this diet since it's so high in the things your hair and skin need, too, your skin will heal faster (I'm saying this as someone who has stretch marks too). Your skin heals, and a lot of that loose skin you had before will reduce significantly.

Of course, you consult a doctor in all of this, but what I will tell you is now, when I get my blood work done at Kaiser, they always say the same thing to me, "Whatever your doing, keep it up!"
