He assaulted a man on national television for making a dumb joke, which, if you've ever watched the Oscars, every presenter has done since the beginning of time.

Please don't act like this was a good thing, and he did something chivalrous. He didn't have a check on his emotions; he's going through a lot publically leading up to this because of his marital issues going public, his kids are imploding in front of us, his son congratulates the behavior; it's all bad.
