Broke up with my ex, combined before my current salary, together we made way over 14k a month, and yet, no kids, not even married yet, she was vicious about us getting married and her never needing to work ever again, using my religion as the engine for this outcome.

Even as we got me closer to her pay scale it never felt like enough to her, she was never grateful for what we had, I even paid her rent for almost a year, which allowed her to build an even more meaningful safety net.

After breaking up with her my career finally took off, no more fighting two battles on two fronts, no more what felt like a third job dressed up as a relationship. Every time I would complain she would deflect, minimize, and project. Not Willing, Not Able, check, please!
